Viva La Verve November Week 2 Recap and Viewfinder

Viva la Verve - November Week 2 Sketch!

Hello Verve fans, Marisa here recapping Maureen's fabulous Week 2 sketch and shining a spotlight on a few creations that caught my eye in the gallery this week.

We'll have 4 November challenges... play along with us and link each of your challenge creations to our Entry Form link list. The link list will be up for the whole month and we'll choose a random winner at the end of the month to win a $100 gift voucher to Verve. Challenge rules can be found on the Rules tab at the top of the blog or by clicking here. You don't have to complete all of the sketches to win, but the more cards you enter, the greater your odds of winning. Verve stamps are not required to play, but we do love to see 'em!  We'll also be highlighting a couple of our favorite link-ups each Tuesday, so be sure to get your links in if you're crafting over the weekend.

Here's my sample card...

This week's sketch definitely has two of Maureen's favorite things to put on a card:  a big circle you can use a doily for and a tag.  Must say I enjoy using these two elements as well so this card came together quickly.

In my ongoing attempt to get some Christmas cards done, I pulled out this fabulous Christmas Blessings Plain Jane.  I adore the font Julee used for this Plain Jane!  A red doily fit the bill, and I had to underlay it with white because it wasn't really showing up too well against the kraft.  My go to tree from the Winter Fun die set came out to play again, and a few buttons and twine finished things off  nicely.

Here are a few beautiful cards I spied in the link-up this week...
Vickie is showcasing a verse from Good Work and I  love how she coloured her flowers.

Love how Lee Ann split the banner and the touch of twine is perfect.

Marlena's double tag is fabulous as is her use of the Strong Anchor, Learning to Sail and the Nautical Die Set.
