Viva la Verve May 2014 Week 5 Recap & Viewfinder

Hello Viva la Verve fans! Sarah popping in today with my take on Anya's fabulous sketch, and a look at some of your gorgeous creations!

I kept my card very clean and simple. Sentiments from So Fluttery were stamped on flags from the Flag It die set. The butterfly outline from So Fluttery was stamped on the Flutterby die. I accented with those amazing Shine Bright sequins!

You have until Thursday to get your entries in for May, you have to be in to win!

Here are a few creations that caught my eye!

Lyn used some gorgeous butterfly papers to tie in with her stamped butterflies from Beautiful Kindness.

Vicki really rocked this bold black and gold color scheme using Let It Be.

Lori's card is delightful using Treasured Words for a perfect grad card.

Sarah's sketch is FABULOUS...I had a ball layering this fun card up with some new Verve stamps and dies!

I used the banner image, the arrow images and sentiment from Wonderful Marvelous, the flower images from Button Best and die cut from Pointed Petals Die Set, and leaf die cuts from Sprightly Sprigs Die Set.  There are previously released goodies on my card, too... a single large banner from Banner Bundle Die Set, a long string of banners from Award Banner Trim Die, and some sweet sprinkles from the Shine Bright Sequin Mix, too!

Viva la Verve May 2014 Week 3 Recap + Viewfinder

Hello!   It is Betty!  Hope you are having a great start to your week!  I  am popping in with a quick reminder for the Viva la Verve Week 3 Sketch + Inspiration Challenge.   You still have time to play!  I also have a few fabulous creations to spotlight as part of the Verve Weekly Viewfinder.

First up, here is my take on the sketch and inspiration picture! 

Can you say, SPARKLE?  I just love all the sparkle in the inspiration picture. I see several pillows I would love to own.  I let the sparkle and sketch guide me to my card creation.   For my card I am using Verve's Remember This and Love Notes stamp sets along with Verve's Cut Above Starry die, Banner Bundle, Wavy Hearts, Jotted Heart, and I Heart U die sets.   I finished my card with a tiny bow and a few of Verve's Shine Bright Sequin Mix.   I went all out with some sparkle using some gold, silver, and black glitter card stocks.

Now, on to the cards in the Viva La Verve link up this week that deserve a spotlight shout out! 

First up is Lori!

I just love the mixture of colors, patterns, and sparkle!  Lori used Verve's
Treasured Words stamp set for that fabulous sentiment. 


The next card that caught my eye is Charleen's! 

I love all the wonderful gold embossed on black elements Charleen uses.   The Brighter Days stamp set sentiment sure is front and center with the gold embossing on the black.  Very striking, indeed.



My final pick, is Lyn! 

I just love the pop of lime and polka dotted stars!  Lyn combined Verve's Sweet Treats and Verve's Cut Above Sweet Scallop die to create an amazing focal tag for her card.
