I took a few liberties with this week's sketch, twisting the vertical design and going with a square card base.

MeganBeth's simple embellishments really allows her sentiment to take center stage, and allows us to focus right on the fun patterned papers and happy colors!

 Lori nailed this week's sketch with her fabulous birthday card - love the pops of color!

Hillary's nautical-themed card is like a breath of fresh ocean air.  Love the distressed look and those little aqua dots!

I went with just the sketch today, and made a tall and skinny card - this sketch was just perfect for a skinnier card base!

Here is my take on the sketch.

Unfortunately, I was in need of a sympathy card so I pulled out New Mercies, and chose this fabulous verse for my card.  I over stamped it with the foliage image from the set for a bit of depth and added a secondary sentiment.  I know these are rather bright colours for a sympathy card, but I wanted the card to give a message of hope and new life that can blossom after grieving the loss of your husband and the father of your young children.

Here are a few cards from the gallery that caught my eye.

Love Nancy's clean lines, use of the colour combination and tag on her card, and of course that wonderfully coloured flower from Happy Place.

D's card had a wonderful embossed background that paired itself very well with the butterfly and flower image from Happy Place.

Love the rich colours Karren used for her card, in addition to how she coloured her balloons and focal panel, including the subtle text in the background.
