Viva La Verve August Week 2 Recap and Viewfinder

Hello Verve fans, Marisa here.  We are into a new month of Viva La Verve sketches and today I am recapping Maureen's wonderful Week 2 sketch.

We'll have 4 August challenges... play along with us and link each of your challenge creations to our Entry Form link list. The link list will be up for the whole month and we'll choose a random winner at the end of the month to win a $100 gift voucher to Verve. Here is my take on this week's sketch.

In my continuing saga use up old paper, I found this large print paper with a wonderful mix of colours and big flowers.  It was a bit too busy on its own, so I covered most of it up, but pulled all my other colours from it.

My beloved Jotted Heart die came out to play as did the Rounded Rectangle die and Flag It die set.  I outlined the heart with an image from Love Notes and the rectangle with an image from Treasured Words.  The sentiment is a combination of the Hello Friend Plain Jane and a sentiment from Poppy Birthday.  The subtle pattern on the blue panel is a Versamarked background image from Better Together.

Here are a few beautiful cards I spied in the link-up this week...

Adore the gold polka dots and doily Vickie used for her card, and how she paired them with the bold sentiment from Deco Borders.

Loved Heather's time card with the clock in the background and the 90 peeking out behind the sentiment panel.

Inge's card with the bit of woodgrain in the background, cork star and open circles was another beautiful card I spied in this week's gallery.
