It's Charmaine with this week's recap and Viva la Viewfinder.  Anya posted a fabulous sketch on Friday, and this is my take on it . Then, scroll down to see who caught my eye and for this week's Viewfinders!

And here is the card that I created using this week's sketch.

I used the Sunny Days set for my card.  I stamped and cut out the flowers and then cut along the petals so that I could curl them in.  I used the coordinating Leafy Sprigs Die for the leaves and added some of the Shine Bright Sequin Mix to add a little sparkle.  :)

Here are a few fabulous creations that I noticed in the gallery this week!

 I love this colorful card from Hillary!  It's such a happy card!  She used the Holiday Treats set.  This card just makes me smile!

 Here is another happy card from Petra!  I LOVE the bright colors she used and the adorable flowers!  What a fun card!

I loved this card from Rosemary!  I love the gold accents.  The gold washi tape, the gold sequins and of course the gold die cut "coffee"  using the Coffee Word Die along with the One Cup set.

VLV February Week 3 Recap and Viewfinder

Welcome back to Viva la Verve!

Marisa here today with this week's recap and Viva la Viewfinder.  Stacey posted a fabulous sketch on Friday, and this is my take on it . Then, scroll down to see who caught my eye and for this week's Viewfinders!

I have Spring on the brain big time as our West Coast weather has been absolutely fabulous recently!  My tulips are six inches out of the ground already, and I may set an all time record by having to mow our lawn in February! Eeek! Oh how I love Spring!  That made me pull out this fabulous flowed paper from MME's Lime Twist collection (an oldie but a goodie).  Of course, with spring comes butterflies, so I couldn't resist adding one to accent this wonderful Hello Friend Plain Jane.  I just adore the font and bold statement this sentiment makes!

Here are a couple of pretty creations that I noticed in the gallery this week!

Petra's double frame is fabulous!  A lovely accent for the flowers from Great Friend and the Charming Banner dies for the sentiment.

Adore Lesley's big polka dotted background and colour combination and how she paired it with one of my favorite sentiments from Kind Words.  The fabulous flower is from Happy Place.

  

 Leanne beautifully used some embossing paste on her vellum banner overlay, and created an explosion of flowers with the smallest flower from Bloom and Grow, and framed them with the co-ordinating Elegant Leaves die and stamp.

Happy Days is one of my favorite sets, I love the bold sentiments and that swirl is such a fun accent.  It worked perfectly for the circle element on the sketch.  Apparently I needed some color in my life (is everything out your window white these days, too?) because this baby is bright!

Here are a few fabulous creations that I noticed in the gallery this week!

I'm crazy about this fun shaker card that Hillary created using the Strong Anchor and Wonderful Marvelous sets.  Aren't the colors fantastic?

 

Petra is at it again with another stunning creation this week.  The pop of pink is the perfect finishing touch for this pretty graphic card.

This little love note is the perfect card to send to a sweetheart or a sweet friend.  Lori's classic navy and red color combo is a stunner.  The super cute envelope is from the Take Note set - have you seen just how jam-packed this set is?

VLV February 2015 Week 1 Recap & Viewfinder

Welcome back to Viva la Verve!

Stacey here today with this week's recap and Viva la Viewfinder. Julee posted a fabulous sketch on Friday, and it is wonderful!  Scroll down to see who caught my eye and is in my Viewfinder this week!

The awesome sketch inspired me to create this love-themed card!

I took a few liberties with the awesome sketch by using a tall rather than wide card base and layered the papers up all cozy an snug!

I stamped the sentiment from the More Than Love stamp set over a circle die cut and added a sweet Heart Quartet Die Set heart and a few gold sequins from the Holiday Sequins Mix.

Tricia at Simply Stamping created this beauty with Verve's Wonderfully Made stamp set.  The colored flower is gorgeous embellished with the gem, and the sentiment is glorious with the highlighted "you" banner!

Petra at Cards Creative made this gorgeous card using Verve's Lean on Me and Bloom & Grow stamp set with coordinating Elegant Leaves Die!  The flower/leaf cluster is stunning!
