Viva La Verve November Week 3 Recap and Viewfinder

Viva La Verve November Week 3 Recap and Viewfinder

Viva la Verve - November Week 3 Sketch!

Hello Verve fans, Marisa here recapping Maureen's fabulous Week 3 sketch and shining a spotlight on a few creations that caught my eye in the gallery this week.

We'll have 4 November challenges... play along with us and link each of your challenge creations to our Entry Form link list. The link list will be up for the whole month and we'll choose a random winner at the end of the month to win a $100 gift voucher to Verve. Challenge rules can be found on the Rules tab at the top of the blog or by clicking here. You don't have to complete all of the sketches to win, but the more cards you enter, the greater your odds of winning. Verve stamps are not required to play, but we do love to see 'em!  We'll also be highlighting a couple of our favorite link-ups each Tuesday, so be sure to get your links in if you're crafting over the weekend.

Here is the Week 3 sketch....

Here's my sample card...

Found this cute, wood stag as part of six piece clothes pin set in the dollar bin at Michael's and had to get it.  I removed him from the clothes pin he was attached to so I could mount him on the card and then couldn't resist adding a little red nose as it fit the Christmas Wishes sentiment.

Added some twine and stitched borders for a bit of a rustic feel and a tag with the smallest snowflake from Holiday Treats with a red dot in the middle for a pop of colour.   I also took a little artistic license by adding a teeny strip of red below the sentiment panel as I needed some colour and one more red element to complete the "rule of three".

Here are a few beautiful cards I spied in the link-up this week...

Love how Autumn used corrugated cardboard with some white splatter for her focal panel with the Every Heart Plain Jane sentiment, and the bookend snowflakes are fabulous!

Rosemary did a great job creating her background by stamping the coffee cup image from Holiday Treats.

Granne created this beautiful card and I love the subtle vellum butterflies she added.
